WAFDAL Meeting of Delegates 2009

Short report of the 9th WAFDAL (former ECDC) meeting
on Friday 14th of August 2009 in Oslo/Norway
organised by the Norwegian Dalmatian Club
The meeting of delegates was held in the Rica Holmenkollen Park Hotel in Oslo.
Chairman: Frans de Ridder from Belgium.
Present were:
Committee members: Frans de Ridder, Annemiek Morgans and Arild Harjén
Judging commission members: Liliane de Ridder, Aase Jakobsen
Health and Breeding commission members: Tyge Greibrokk, Rhys Morgans, Lena Erlandsson
Delegates:
Lena Erlandsson and Inger Hagbohm from Sweden, Arild Harjén and Ann Kristin Diskerud from Norway, Charlotte Jenvall from Denmark, Eija Tähtinen from Finland, Frans and Lillian de Ridder from Belgium, Erna Kuipers and Anita de Boer from The Netherlands, Herbert Nagel and Agnes Klein from Germany (DDC), Gerhard Herbst and Markus Mayer from Germany (CDF, Ursula Voitle and Tryn Borckenstein from Austria, Pia Pedercini from Italy, Eva Dragovic from Czechia and Zeljko Radic from Croatia (Atila Dubac).
Welcome and annual reports:
The meeting started at 9.00 hrs with a warm welcome from our host, the Norwegian Dalmatian Club.
A moment of silence was held for mr. Alfred Ronneburg, treasurer of the WAFDAL, who passed away on 18 October 2007. With the unexpected death of mr. Ronneburg a solution had to be found for a new financial account under the name of WAFDAL. Herbert Nagel (auditor) and Agnes Klein from the DDC/Germany took the necessary steps and a new account was opened. As the WAFDAL did not have any major expenses over the last period and the level of activities was low also due to a serious illness of our chairman, it was decided not to cash the membership fees for 2008. The reports of the chairman, secretary and treasurer (by Frans de Ridder) were dealt with.
New member:
The Serbian Dalmatian Club ‘Naissa’ had applied for membership. The club was represented by Zeljko Radic from Croatia and was introduced by an informative letter from chairman mr. Nenad Devic. The meeting decided to accept the Serbian Club as a member with an unanimous approval.
Commission reports:
Tyge Greibrokk presented the Health and Breeding committee report.
As there had been no activities in the past two years, there was no Judging committee report.
Rhys Morgans expressed his wish to resign as webmaster. Elke Langanke from Germany was proposed to take his place.
Elections:
WAFDAL committee: As committee members were (re)elected:
Chairman: Frans de Ridder (Belgium)
Secretary: Annemiek Morgans (Netherlands)
Treasurer: Agnes Klein (Germany, DDC)
Member: Erna Kuipers (Netherlands, delegate from club, organising the next WAFDAL event)
Because it was seen necessary to expand the committee, it was proposed to add one person in the function of vice-president. The meeting agreed and a new proposal concerning ‘Rules and regulations of the WAFDAL’ had been put forward for the meeting of delegates in 2011:
The committee:
a) The committee consists of
- the chairman
- the vice-chairman
- the secretary
- the treasurer
- a person appointed by the club that organizes the following WAFDAL meeting and show.
b) The chairmen of the subcommittees can, if necessary, be called in by the committee in an advisory function.
c) The committee is elected by the MD for the period between the general meetings. Re-election is possible.”
To assist the committee for the coming period Arild Harjén and eventually Tyge Greibrokk put themselves forward as candidates with approval of the meeting. Herbert Nagel was re-elected as auditor.
Health and Breeding commission:
Tyge Greibrokk (chairman), Rhys Morgans, dr. Dominique Vincent, Lena Erlandsson and Sally Ann Clegg were re- elected. As new member Charlotte Jenvall (Denmark) was elected.
Judging commission:
Chairman Ǻke Cronander had decided to resign his position and Liliane de Ridder-Onghena was appointed in his place as chairman. Aase Jakobsen was re-elected. As new member Ivana Bakal from Croatia (Atila Dubac) was proposed.

Proposals of dates and places for future WAFDAL meetings:
In 2011 the WAFDAL event will take place in The Netherlands
In 2013 in Germany (DDC)
For now there are 2 candidates for 2015: Czechia (Czech Dalmatian Club) and Croatia (Dalmatian Club ‘Atila Dubac’). In the next meeting a decision has to be made.
